Welcome to my official site. I am a vocal coach - a specialist in all aspects of the voice. Here is some information about my singing.
Whilst in Morava(Czech Rep.) I learned the Bel Canto singing technique from Paolo de Napoli and Giancarlo Ruggieri then worked as a singer for the Janáček Opera Chorus Brno of National Theatre Brno and Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno.
After settling in Bristol (2004) I have sung in lots of lovely venues in the Bristol area, including:
These are a few of the conductors, directors and choral societies that I have had the pleasure of working with :
I have sung solo parts for these great classical works:

Keen to try out your singing skills on a Bristol audience? I encourage my students to get plenty of performance practice singing in Bristol, without pushing them to perform if they feel too nervous.
Here is a selection of my favourite Bristol open mic nights for singers.
A wonderful night for first time performers (or 'virgins' as they call them!). Half poetry, half music. Make sure you get there nice and early to get a slot.

A floating boat opposite the Watershed cinema. They hold an excellent open mic night every Friday - the fabulous venue guarantees a large audience. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a good one for nervous singers. Ring Leah or Andy on 0117 929 8392 for more information.
Perfect if you already sing in a band, as they have a drum kit you can use. If you impress them enough you may be on your way to getting paid gigs with them, as they are a thriving Bristol venue, always showcasing the best Bristol Singing talent.

This 'Celtic Woman' has a naturally beautiful voice, with no signs of unpleasant faux 'operatic technique'.
Here performing Phantom of the Opera. Whilst I find this female singer's high notes too 'operatic', I love the male bass vocals.
Some people may find the voice of Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson a little bit forced or maybe even 'violent'. However, I think he is better than many singers who are more well known than him in the world of classical music.
Firstly, take a few moments to consider the gruelling tour schedule of the band. On average they perform a full concert every two days.
Secondly, listen to one of their songs, Nomad is a good example; Dickinson sings a high B natural 40 times! This is the same as the top note in Puccini's Nessun Dorma.
